Well, Jaeden is almost all the way potty trained at home.... that's the good news. Daycare is a different story. She was doing great there, but now she's not telling her daycare provider when she has to go. I think part of the problem is her daycare provider doesn't feel comfortable letting her wear panties when they are away from her house. So Jaeden ends up in a pull up for most of the day. When they are at her house, she doesn't go, and I'm sure its because she knows she's going to get a pull up soon.
I'm not sure really how to handle this. I understand 100% that the daycare provider has several children she's looking after at once, and its harder to take them all into the bathroom if they are out in public, or its hard to take them all back home if they are at the park because Jaeden says she's got to go (she tells you she has to go a lot when she doesn't, so I'm sure it would get old). At the same time, I know she can do this since she's doing it at home, and I don't want to keep buying pull ups!
On another note, I've got an A in my phychology class right now and a B in my Human Biology class. I still don't have a grade in my Chemistry class as the only grades we earn are from tests and our first one isn't until Thursday.
Jaeden's new love has been Word World, and I can't seem to find any DVDs for her. We've got a few episodes saved on the DVR, but they keep getting deleted some how. Oh well, she'll live!

Potty Time with Jaeden
Jaeden has been potty training for a week now and is doing great! She likes going on the potty and getting her skittles. She's got two more weeks home with me before the fall semester starts and I plan to use the next two weeks to help her master the potty. While its not a fun way to spend my break its going to be so nice to not have to change diapers... or buy them for that matter.
Her early intervention appointment I mentioned in the last post went well. She's behind but not enough to need therapy to catch up. Since the appointment she's actually made a lot of progress. The other day she was behind me, she reached up and smacked my butt and said "go mom!" :)

Well.... its obvious I'm not good at keeping this thing updated! I'm going to make more of an effort to update my blog at least once a week. I can do that, right? LOL
Let see:
Jaeden- is doing wonderful. She's in daycare three days a week now and loves it. She talks about her daycare friends when she's not there and asks every day if she's going to daycare. She's growing like crazy right, and sleeping like crazy which go hand in hand with her.
She's still obsessed with Elmo, but now its the whole Sesame Street cast instead of just Elmo. She wants to watch it all the time! Thank you DVR :) Its helping her learn though, she's learned about half of her letters and is starting to learn to count as well.
She's got an appointment with Early Intervention next week to asses her speech delay. Her in the state of Illinois if the child is 30% behind or more, they will provide the proper therapy services. We'll find out at this appointment how far behind she is and if she'll get services.
TJ- has been working a lot! He seems to enjoy the job for the most part. I don't have much else to say about him haha. He's just been working like crazy and dealing with family stuff. He's looking forward to hunting season of course!
Me- I'm in school finally :) Three days a week for the summer semester. This fall I'll be five days a week. I should be all set to apply to the programs I want this winter. I'm looking forward to that since it means I'll be done with Biology and Chemistry.
Funny stuff: Today TJ was sitting on the stool putting his boots on for work and Jaeden walks up to him with her finger in the air saying "boogie." He leans over and she puts her finger in his nose and pulls one out HAHA. Neither one of us thought she was actually going to pick his nose, but she did. It was great.

sorry its been so long
Things have been a little crazy. We've moved to Scott AFB IL finally and I really like the area. I could do without all the cold and snow we've gotten since we got here, but winter will be over before I know it.
Jaeden is doing great. She's really gotten tall and is learning new things all the time. She's talking a lot, climbing on things, running around.... being a toddler. She's starting to act like a two year old even though she wont be two until the end of march. She tells me no and tries to be in control but we're doing our best with her. She's not a bad child by any means just a typical toddler.
We've been going to play dates at the local McDonald's, they have a huge play area. Jaeden really plays well most of the time. She's the youngest child that goes so I think she's intimidated a lot, but after a while she'll warm up to it and start running around and having fun. Every time we've gone she's gotten hurt, but nothing major.
We're in the middle of planning her birthday party, I hope it will be fun. TJs mom and my mom, her fiance and my younger brother will for sure be here. We're also going to invite the rest of the family, but will understand if they cannot make it. I'll also invite all the kids she's already met. It should be fun. More like a play date with cake, but thats ok.
Work is going well for TJ, its still more school for four months, but its not bad. I also start school this summer!

Its been a while

We've been busy! TJ has about two weeks of school left and its getting pretty intense for him. I know he's going to do great in the last two weeks of school and he'll be glad its over with. As for Jaeden she's just growing like crazy. We had Christmas at Thanksgiving with my mom and Jaeden has had a blast with her new toys. She's gotten a barbie four wheeler and a v-tech book, an Elmo blanket, slippers, lots of clothes and her favorite is her Elmo Restaurant. She's climbing on it as I write this.

18 month well baby visit
Jaeden had her 18 month check up today. She's perfect of course ;) She's happy and healthy. She weighs 22.8 lbs... shes growing, slowly, but she's growing and that is what is important. Her pediatrician says she's a little behind on her words, but I am not worried about it at all. She's been learning new words lately and if she continues with this, then I see nothing to worry about. Her new words in the last few weeks are milk, more (they sound the same though), bye (instead of buh bye), quack, good girl (sounds like goo gur), no... that's all I can think of right now, but I am sure she's learned more than this. She's really learning a lot.
We got our flu shots.... bring on the winter :P

good cause
I became a partner in hope for St Judes hospital. I encourage anyone who reads this to do the same. Its only 20 dollars a month and its for a great cause. I am willing to give up one meal out a month to send money to St Judes. They are great! One lady told her story on the radio the other day that her son was diagnosed with cancer and they didn't have much money, so St Judes fly her and her son to the hospital for treatment... and its all paid for. They cannot do this without our donations.
